You will stroll along the historic Hoan Kiem Lake, a bustling area full of locals engaged in various activities from dancing to cycling to just hanging out on the lakeside enjoying the beautiful morning views of Hanoi downtown.
You will walk on the streets and through the backyards of Hanoi lit up by the morning sun and head towards a street market. You will see how Hanoians start their morning and might even make friends with some interesting characters.
This experience is suitable for aspiring and professional photographers of any level. Whether you want to improve your skills, learn the basics of photography, or just discover some cool Hanoi locations and have memorable shots taken with your phone - this experience is for you!

Your Street Photography Experience in Hanoi will be hosted by Trung Dell.
Trung is a streetlife and documentary photographer. He is a local Nothern Vietnamese who knows every corner of Hanoi. Having spent many years traveling around the world, Trung has extensive experience working with The New York Times, CNN, TIME Magazine, and global film crews, including History Channel ASIA, Eccholine, and Legendary Pictures. Trung assisted in organizing multiple photo workshops and photo tours all over Vietnam.
When not working on large-scale projects Trung spends his time in the streets of Hanoi snapping away with his camera.
This truly unique experience was created together with a renowned photographer Frederik Wissink. Originally from Canada, Fred spent more than half of his life in Asia, calling Vietnam his home for the last 17 years. Since he moved to this amazing country, Fred has been doing commercial work for major hotel brands including Accor, Hyatt, and Four Seasons, and corporations like Google, Samsung and Nike.
He did assignments for international media including The New York Times, The Guardian, USA Today, and Discovery Channel. His works were published on the covers of Conde Nast Traveller and Car & Driver magazines. Fred participated in multiple photo exhibitions and published his portrait book called Expat.
Aside from Fred’s successful career in commercial photography, his true passion has always been street photography. Fred spent several years as an instructor of Hoi An Photo Tour and occasionally co-hosts Pics of Asia multi-day tours around various parts of Vietnam.
This 2.5-hour experience starts at 6:30 am to ensure we catch the best light and the temperature is comfortable.
