Our Story

Launched in late 2018, Secret Experiences quickly became the most unique thing to do in Vietnam.

We started our journey by launching a Secret Cocktail Experience in Hoi An that was featured in The New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar, and many popular travel blogs.

A year later, we created our online experiences and private virtual workshops.

In 2022, we restarted our in-person experiences in Hoi An and launched a new exciting experience in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2024, we expanded to Hanoi.

We organized honeymoons, bachelor parties, and friend gatherings. We hosted team buildings and corporate parties for Google, Apple, Instagram, Deloitte, Airbnb, and many others.

We also hosted customized private mixology classes and craft alcohol tastings.

Such a fun experience! Khieu was a fabulous host! Went to bars that I probably wouldn’t have sought out on my own. The cocktail and food bite at each was really, really good! Highly recommend, especially for solo travellers. Do this early in your trip to Hoi An, so you can go back to the bars visited.

The venues were impressive, and the host was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing interesting stories about the city's history. We loved the cocktails made with local ingredients at each stop, and the simple bites were a nice touch. We even revisited a couple of the locations we visited on the tour. Highly recommended!

This was an incredible tour that took us to so many non-touristy locations in Hoi An! I feel like I really got to know the city and what lay just steps away from old town where others wandered. Khieu was a great guide and a great companion for the night overall. She really facilitated our group discussions and knew so much about the city - it's her hometown! The cocktails were all so great and the accompanying food was also so tasty. Would definitely do this again!

Fantastic fun tour with Julie. Loved going to bars that we just wouldn’t have found on our own. All of them quiet and secluded which gave a really nice atmosphere to the tour. Good mix of talking about Vietnam culture and the drinks themselves. Would highly recommend to couples and / singles looking for a fun start to a night out.
