Secret Experiences worked with Moonfolks to celebrate the opening of its Vietnam office at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts. Moonfolks is an award-winning creative agency with roots in Indonesia, and its Vietnam launch marked an important new chapter for the team in the region.

The brief began with their distinctive brand world: playful, imaginative, and unmistakably inspired by space. From there, we developed a private event that brought that universe into one of Saigon’s most characterful cultural settings.

A museum, reimagined

The Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts was the setting for the evening — a historic space whose architecture, colour, and atmosphere created an unexpected backdrop for the launch.

Rather than overpowering the venue, the concept worked with its existing character. Space-inspired details, cocktails, music, and moments of discovery gave the evening its own identity, while leaving room for the building’s history and texture to come through.

The result was an event that felt rooted in Saigon, while reflecting Moonfolks’ creative world and the ambition behind their move into Vietnam.

Built around a brand story

For private events, the most important starting point is always the story behind the gathering.

For Moonfolks, that meant translating their visual universe into an experience people could step into: something playful but considered, creative but welcoming, and made for conversation as much as celebration.

A launch is a chance to introduce a company to a new city. It is also an opportunity to bring its people, partners, and future collaborators together in one room. We were pleased to help shape that first welcome to Vietnam.

Moonfolks’ wider Vietnam launch included its “New Locals” campaign and signalled the agency’s plans to work with Vietnamese brands as they expand across Southeast Asia.
